MEDICA’s Role in the MACRAMÉ Project
MEDICA plays a crucial role in Use-Case 1 of the MACRAMÉ project, which focuses on graphene-enhanced water filtration systems. Our contributions include:
- Providing industry-relevant materials: We supply graphene oxide-enhanced polysulfone filters, a technology developed under the SafeGraph initiative (Graphene Flagship).
- Granting project partners access to production areas: This allows for real-world sampling of process and waste-water in alignment with hydraulic and recirculation plant designs.
- Assessing end-of-life impact: Our work contributes to evaluating the sustainability of filter disposal methods, including incineration and landfill scenarios.
