As part of the series of MACRAMÉ Webinars on Harmonisation, Standardisation & Validation of Test- and Characterisation Methods, the MACRAMÉ Project, together with the Metrino Project and the NanoMesure France association, hosted Webinar I – Standardisation & Validation made simple.
The webinar was attended by more than 80 experts from around the globe; the participants were introdcued to the basic terms, definitions, landscape and opportunities of standardisation & validation, and joined the subsequent discussion on how to pursue the development of standards and validated test methods for Advanced Materials.
The webinar explained pathway from the development of a standard operating procedure (SOPs) to a standard test method, together with the role of national metrology institutes, metrology committees, standardisation bodies (e.g. ISO, ASM, CEN, VAMAS), and specific entities (e.g. the OECD, ICH, and EDQM).
The individual presentations can be viewed via their following links:
- Part A – Understanding the Role of Metrology and Standardisation to support the Development of Advanced Materials and NanoMedicine (Georges Favre, LNE – Metrino, NanoMesure France)
- Part B: Landscape and Opportunities & Part C – An exemplary Journey from Need to Standard (Caterina Minelli, NPL)
- Part D – Examples for Advanced Materials – What’s the Alternative for less mature Cases? (Georges Favre, LNE – Metrino, NanoMesure France)
